
This course explores a wide variety of topics that psychologists investigate in their study of human behaviour and mental processes. Some of the areas covered include learning and memory, the brain, sleep and dreams, and psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression. Basic concepts, research methods, theories and major findings in these areas are examined. In addition, Indigenous examples and perspectives will be included. Students will be encouraged to apply psychological concepts to their everyday lives.
