Topics include: electric force, field, potential and energy, capacitors, DC circuits, magnetic force and field, electromagnetic induction, and AC circuits. The laboratory emphasizes operational techniques and provides the student with the opportunity to gain familiarity with electronic equipment common in modern laboratories. Concepts learned in this course are used not only in later physics-related fields, but also in other science disciplines, such as Chemistry and Biology.
