This
course is designed to acquire skills and knowledge to ensure children’s health
and nutrition and to address wellness topics relevant to early childhood
educators. The course pedagogy will consist of compiling, interpreting,
analyzing and presenting case studies of children’s overall health and
nutrition using various observation techniques. Moreover, students will create
childcare environments that foster healthy nutrition, including the development
of healthy eating habits, and a healthy life style. Through hands on
experiences and practical labs, students will apply knowledge associated to
these competencies.
