In
this course, students will further develop their client communication skills.
In particular, they will learn to provide advice to owners, make persuasive
arguments regarding best health practices, and express empathy in appropriate
situations. Students will also hone their history-taking and interview skills.
They will also be required to draw upon their prior learning throughout the
program, with particular emphasis on animal nutrition and behaviour in
providing advice and making recommendations. Students will engage in
discussions, role-playing, self-assessment and peer-assessment in order to help
them develop their communication skills in a variety of scenarios.
