Business Data Analysis is a course that introduces students to the concepts and techniques used in analyzing and interpreting business data. The course covers a range of topics, including data collection and preparation, descriptive statistics, probability distributions, inferential statistics, and data visualization. Students will learn how to use various tools and software, such as Excel and R, to analyze data and make informed business decisions. The course will also cover key concepts such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis. Emphasis is placed on the application of these techniques to real-world business problems and decision making. The course is designed for students with little or no prior experience with data analysis, but it is also suitable for those with some experience looking to deepen their understanding of business data analysis.

In this course, the student will define the role of purchasing in a company, and the difficulties and requirements that occur in the procurement and handling of material. The course will identify inventory types as well as the different models and methods of inventory management available with the application of selected models in practical cases. It will explore the initial purchasing inventory to the final shipping of merchandise to the customer. Inventory, transportation, and storage methods will be discussed in term of their logistical value added and cost savings potential to the company.
